Repair the problem when the heater is serviceable
No hot water, slow recovery, burner or ignition trouble, tripped limits, leaking connections, relief-valve discharge, and temperature problems do not automatically require replacement. Greg checks the equipment, controls, utilities, pressure, expansion, and visible condition before recommending repair or replacement.
Choosing the right type and capacity
Tank size, recovery rate, temperature rise, simultaneous fixture use, available utilities, and installation conditions matter. Tankless equipment can provide long-duration hot water, but only within its flow and temperature-rise limits.
Pressure and thermal expansion
High incoming pressure and closed plumbing systems can stress fixtures and cause relief-valve discharge. The installation is evaluated for pressure regulation and properly sized thermal-expansion control instead of treating a dripping relief valve as an isolated part failure.
Safe venting and clean connections
Gas equipment needs approved venting, combustion air, gas supply, and clearances. Electric equipment needs correct circuit capacity and connections. Every replacement is filled, purged, started, checked for leaks, and tested before completion.
A clear replacement scope
The estimate identifies the proposed equipment type, capacity, included piping or venting changes, removal of the existing heater, startup, and important site-specific exclusions.
